Former Education Minister and National Democratic Congress (NDC) Vice Presidential candidate, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has emphasized the need for a truthful leader to restore hope and confidence in Ghana’s governance.
Speaking at a public lecture at the University of Ghana, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang stated, “Ghana needs a leader who will tell the truth, no matter how difficult it may be. A leader who will be transparent, accountable, and honest in all their dealings.”
She noted that the current state of affairs in Ghana, marked by economic hardship, corruption, and mistrust, requires a leader who will be truthful and sincere in addressing the challenges facing the nation.
“A truthful leader will not promise what they cannot deliver. They will not hide behind propaganda and misinformation. They will be willing to listen, to learn, and to adapt,” Prof. Opoku-Agyemang emphasized.
The renowned educationist and politician called on Ghanaians to demand truthfulness and integrity from their leaders, saying, “We need a leader who will restore our faith in governance, who will make us proud to be Ghanaians again.”
Her comments have resonated with many Ghanaians, who are eager for a change in leadership and a return to truthful and transparent governance.
