President Nana Addo Launches 5G

President Nana Addo has launched the Fifth Generation of Mobile Network Technology (5G) broadband services yesterday 5th November, 2024 to enhance internet connectivity and digitalization.
The initial rollout will cover major cities like Accra, Kumasi, and Takoradi, with plans to expand to other urban areas by the end of 2024 and full nationwide coverage, including rural regions, by 2026.
This launch marks a significant step in Ghana’s digital journey, aiming to propel the country into a future of innovation and progress .
The introduction of 5G in Ghana is expected to significantly improve digitalization in the country.
With its faster speeds, lower latency, and increased capacity, 5G will:
