As the running mate for the NPP in the 2024 presidential election, Napo stressed the importance of internal party cohesion ahead of the December 2028 general elections. He stated, “My immediate interest now is to get a united party for a flagbearer to be eventually crowned,” and explicitly quashed rumors of running in 2028, saying, “No, I am not running in 2028”.
