“I’ve Fulfilled 80% Of My Promises To Ghanaians – Nana Akufo-Addo”

President Nana Akufo-Addo has confidently asserted that his administration has successfully implemented approximately 80% of the promises made to the Ghanaian populace prior to his presidency.
During his “Thank You” tour of the Western Region on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, President Akufo-Addo highlighted his notable achievements since assuming office in 2017. He urged residents to endorse the Vice President and NPP flagbearer to perpetuate his exemplary legacy.
The President proudly showcased his flagship initiative, the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy, emphasizing its transformative impact on Ghana’s educational landscape. “The NPP manifestos of 2016 and 2020 have seen 80% of our pledges fulfilled under my leadership,” he remarked.
President Akufo-Addo elaborated on the significance of education, citing alarming statistics from his predecessor’s era. “Prior to my tenure, over 100,000 qualified Junior High School graduates were annually denied access to Senior High School due to financial constraints, culminating in one million young Ghanaians being deprived of education over a decade.”
He attributed the introduction of Free SHS to his commitment to safeguarding the future of Ghana’s youth. “By absorbing school fees, we have empowered students to pursue their educational aspirations, thereby securing the nation’s foundation.”
