I’m a Happy Ghanaian; the President and Judicial System Are Doing a Good Job – Samini

Renowned Ghanaian dancehall artist Samini has expressed his admiration for President John Mahama’s leadership, particularly highlighting the judiciary’s efforts to hold public officials accountable. In a recent interview on PrimeTime with George Quaye on Joy Prime, Samini commended the strides being made in strengthening Ghana’s accountability framework.

The music legend emphasized his appreciation for the growing sense of justice and transparency in the country’s governance system. “I’m a happy Ghanaian,” he said, noting that he welcomes the fact that individuals are being held accountable for their actions.

Samini stressed that his views are guided by principles rather than political loyalty. “If you’re put in public office, it’s your responsibility to serve Ghana and keep the public purse at heart,” he said. “If you do anything dubious, you should be brought to book.”

When asked about his assessment of President Mahama’s government, Samini pointed to the judiciary’s active role. “The President and judicial system are doing a good job so far,” he said, adding that it’s still early to evaluate other aspects of the government.

Samini’s comments come at a time when good governance, integrity, and anti-corruption are prominent national topics. His remarks mark a rare and candid expression of political opinion, showcasing his commitment to accountability and transparency.
