Ghana Freedom Party’s Presidential Candidate Disqualified: National Organizer Expresses Satisfaction

The National Organizer of the Ghana Freedom Party, Richard Botwe, has welcomed the Electoral Commission’s decision to disqualify the party’s presidential candidate. This development aligns with the party’s internal resolution to refrain from contesting the elections as a tribute to their late founder, Madam Akua Donkoh.

Following her passing, some executives opted not to participate in the elections, whereas the General Secretary filed nominations contrary to this consensus. Botwe clarified that the disqualification reflects the party’s original decision, prioritizing the honoring of their founder .

In an interview, Botwe stated that all party executives are happy about the disqualification concerning the decision they took when they lost their late mother, Akua Donkoh.
