The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has successfully destroyed a large shipment of unregistered and high-strength opioids confiscated at Tema Harbour. The operation was carried out in collaboration with key agencies, including the Ministry of Health, National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Customs Division.
The destruction of the illicit drugs was done in accordance with a court order, highlighting the government’s efforts to combat the importation and distribution of unauthorized medications in Ghana. This joint operation demonstrates the commitment of the relevant agencies to protect public health and safety.
