EC disqualifies GFP’s replacement flagbearer over alleged document irregularities
The Electoral Commission (EC) has disqualified the Ghana Freedom Party’s (GFP) new flagbearer, Philip Appiah Kubi, also known as Roman Fada, due to alleged irregularities in his submitted documents .
The GFP had nominated Roman Fada to replace their late founder and presidential candidate, Madam Akua Donkor, who passed away on 29th October 2024.
Roman Fada had submitted his forms to the EC, but unfortunately, his candidacy has been disqualified due to document irregularities.
This announcement was made by the EC chair, Madam Jean Mensa on Tuesday, 12th November, 2024 during a press conference.
She also made it clear that the anomalies in the documents were too obvious to overlook leading to the disqualification of the new flagbearer in the 2024 election.
The GFP movement is not finding it easy at the moment as they are grieving the lost of their leader and being disqualified in this year’s election.
