Rising Ghanaian Afrobeats/Afropop star Emmmanuel Edem Achiayao popularly known as Emdema is not happy with his own country people saying most Ghanaian music consumers/lovers are hypocrites when it comes to their choice of songs.
Emdema in an interview with KobbyMadeitOnline ahead of his much anticipated single of year titled “Waiting” which is to be released on the 25th of April this month made this bold statement.
When asked reasons behind the making of this statement,the Afrobeats/Afropop singer said,he is a proud Ghanaian who writes most of his music in English with a blend of our local dialect here in Ghana yet Ghanaians find it difficult to relate to the music with some lousy excuses saying he sounds too foreign which makes it difficult for them to relate but same Ghanaians hail our Nigerian counterparts and other nationals that does same music as his with a blend of their local dialect to the extent of them getting booked by our Promoters and Event Organizers for all the major shows in our own country, no disrepect to anybody he emphasised.
The budding talented artist further added that these kind of behaviours from our own people kills talent and has made most musicians loose focus and direction in respect to their music.
