A reliable source close to the EDHUB has confirmed that the prime suspect in the death of KNUST student Joana has been apprehended and is currently in custody at the Research Hills police station.
According to reports, the suspect is a student of KNUST and was allegedly in a romantic relationship with the deceased. The two were reportedly involved in a heated confrontation, during which Joana allegedly struck the suspect.
In an apparent act of retaliation, the suspect allegedly pushed Joana to the ground. Upon realizing the severity of the situation, the suspect then moved Joana’s body to the location where it was discovered.
The police are still conducting investigations, and KNUST authorities, in collaboration with the Student Representative Council (SRC), have assured a thorough probe and justice for Joana’s family.
