CEO of Askof Productions Limited and organizer of the GOWA Awards, Miss Kidi and Teen Queen Ghana, Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum is aiming at breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon by an individual.
The current record holder is Sunil Waghmare from India who sung for over 105 hours in 2012 and Afua is expected to sing for over 117 hours or more which would last for four days non stop to become the new record holder.
The rule of the sing a-thon is, she’s not supposed to repeat any song and also, each song is not expected to last more or less than 2minutes.
This attempt is strictly singing of Ghanaian songs which means she would be
Singing over 3,200 Ghanaian songs to promote the good music in Ghana.
The date scheduled for the singing marathon is 24th-27th December,2023 and the venue is yet to be known.
